The FARO Heritage App, the perfect way to explore Oud-Rekem!
How does it work?
Take your walk to the next level with the FARO Heritage App. With a simple scan using the camera of your smartphone and/or tablet, visitors receive audio and text fragments, videos, and more. This can also be done à la carte, according to the visitors’ own preferences. You are therefore not obliged to view, read, or listen to “everything”.
During a walk or bike ride, you receive additional information along the way via GPS points. The heritage signs or information boards highlight individual stories.
Finally, the heritage app can enrich a magazine, book, signage board, etc. with multimedia information, make an exhibition accessible to deaf, blind, or visually impaired visitors, or provide sound for a film shown in an exhibition.

Heritage Walk in Oud-Rekem
In 2022, the “Most Beautiful Village of Flanders”, Oud-Rekem, was equipped with new signage. These were installed as part of a heritage walk. During this walk, you discover all historical locations in Oud-Rekem, and the new signage provides additional information at each site.
